A reptile expo is a place where the public can go to talk with breeders, manufacturers, distributors, and wholesalers in person about what they sell. Everything for sale will be at discount prices from retail, which is usually about half the price of what you would find for sale in a pet store.

However, there is also a very unique aspect to a reptile and exotic animal expo. Many breeders will deal with certain color and pattern variations of reptiles and other exotic pets that are usually not offered for sale in a pet shop. This is because they demand a higher price for their specifically bred trait. If you are looking for something truly exotic, then this is the place to be!

This is a great event for the whole family to attend because there is so much to see, and it gives people a chance to talk directly with the individuals that are the most passionate about this trade. As the event grows there are plans to add monthly educational seminars on the care, maintenance, breeding, and any other pertinent information of the focused species of that month.

The experienced, inexperienced, and just the curious are invited to see for themselves what will prove to be a fun event to attend month after month!

The expo is held at the Howard Johnson Plaza on 28th Street in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We hope that your visit is a pleasant one, and any suggestions to improve our expo and this site are greatly appreciated.

The expo is held from 10am - 4pm and admission is $5.

Children 12 and under are free!

 

*Please Note*

Patrons are welcome to bring their exotic pets with them to the expo, but no sales will be allowed without purchasing a table. This is not fair to the vendors that traveled to the show and paid for a table. If you are seen trying to sell an animal without a table, you will be asked to remove the animal. You are more than welcome to ask vendors if they are interested in doing a trade for your animal, but that is all that will be allowed. I hope that everyone can understand the reasoning behind this, so don't stop it from bringing your pets to show off!
